My Weather

Picture from Hometown

This is what it's looked like from my front porch all day long. Yes, it's October, and it's October with a vengeance. What you can't see here is the effect of the wind, which has been somewhere between "blustery" and "tornado" most of the day. To illustrate that, here's a picture of the dwarf cherry tree in the backyard:

"

To give you some context, on most days, those tendril-like branches droop straight down. Today, however, the tree looks like the Swamp Thing leaning into the wind. All in all, a perfect day for staying in, having a nice mug of something warm, and letting the cats sleep on your feet. They're nature's fuzzy slippers, you know.

So, what's the weather like in your part of the world?

The sun was out all day. The temp was/is in the 70's. We had the terrible winds and rain yesterday ( Wed). Tues. night there was no electricity - missed the infamous Cubbies game. What I missed most on TV that night was NCIS.

This was a beautiful day for being outside.

In my part of the world it is sunny and looks picture perfect until you add the wind!
The gusts have knocked just about every mum over I have not to mention made acorns sound like bombs hitting the carport! There are numerous branches down. I made it a point to cover up and read while my cat laid on my lap! That is what kind of day it is in WV today.
