Hearing Back on the Chain Gang -- The Pretenders
Because I Am All About Journaler Service
I get questions about AOL Journals, I provide answers. Or die trying! Well, maybe not die. That seems excessive. Maybe lose a pinky or two. That's about right. Today's question:
"Does having multiple journals effect a screennames' ftp space? I know that homepages and files uploaded to ftp both take up space, but I am not sure about journals."
AOL Journals in themselves do not count against your FTP space (also know as your storage limit for your AOL Hometown Web pages). So write yourself silly on as many AOL Journals as you like. However, pictures and other documents you store in your Hometown/FTPspace to which you link from your Journal do count against your limit. Also -- and I don't think this is widely known -- audio entries you create through AOLbyPhone are stored in your Hometown/FTP space. So they will also count against your space as well.
Should you bump up against your storage limit, you'll either need to clear out some files or store additional images and documents elsewhere. AOL allows each of your screennames Hometown/FTP storage space, so you might consider creating a new screenname and using its storage space (or using an existing screenname whose Hometown/FTP space is currently unused).
What about pictures stored on You've Got Pictures? They don't count against your storage limit.
This correspondent asked another question as well -- I'll save that for later in the day.
