Hearing Middle -- Jimmy Eat World

Sir, Step Away From the Photoshop

Further evidence I'm The Most Embarrassing Dad, Like, Ever:

">

This is her "Mingette the Merciless" pose. Bow down to your new galactic empress!

It's a Halloween outfit, obviously. We don't dress her like this on a daily basis. I mean, sure, it'd be fun if we did. But eventually people would talk. The picture is also evidence of a certain pathology of mine -- I was going to send off a normal picture of our girl in her Halloween outfit to my mom, who lives a couple thousand miles away, but then I thought that while my mom would appreciate a picture of her grandaughter standing against a bedroom wall, wouldn't she appreciate it more with the hellishly red emanations of the Crab Nebula blasting in the background? Why, of course she would. Click, click, click with the Photoshop. Yeah, I'm a dork. Sue me.

I do wonder what Athena is going to think of dear ol' dad when she's old enough to be mortified by stuff like this. I guess I'll worry about it later. In the present, she thinks it's cool when I do stuff like this. I'll take that for the moment.

I agree with everything everyone's said who's commented thus far. And on a side note, I wanted to ask: What's up with that Editor's Pick on the Journals splash screen? It's been there for over a week! Did the AOL Calendar crash again or did y'all just forget about us? Ch-ch-changes -- please?
