Entry Point

A couple of people have asked this question, so let's get it out there. The question:

"Hey! I want to enter the 15 Hours of Fame contest but I can't figure out how! Where's the form that allows me to, you know, actually submit an entry? Am I dumb for not finding it right off?"

I would never say an AOL Journaler is dumb. That would get me basted in my own juices by my AOL Corporate Overlords (they have heat vision! Beware!). But in this case in particular, the answer is no, you're not dumb, since it took me more than a couple of clicks to figure it out myself, and as we all know, I'm a geeeeenniuuuuus.

Here's the deal: Go to the 15 Hours of Fame main page (AOL-only link), and you'll see a button that says "Get Your Shot at Fame." Click on that and the Official Rules screen pops up. At the bottom you'll see two buttons: "I Agree" and "I Disagree." Click on the "I Agree" button and you'll have the option of submitting a Journal entry or of creating a Journal, if you have not yet done so. If you click to submit the Journal entry, you'll get the submission form. There you have it.

The implication here, incidentally, is that you actually have read the Official Rules before you click the "I Agree" button. Really, do read them. It's not like AOL is trying to slip a fast one past you, like requiring you to get a tattoo of that little yellow dude on your forehead. But on the other hand, it's always nice to know what you're getting into.

If you submit something, do they email you, John?? I did and they didn't. Just wondering. :) Kathie over at "pictures" told me to ask you.
