The Martians are Coming!
This day in 1938, Orson Welles scared the bejeezus out of a whole bunch of people with his infamous War of the Worlds broadcast, which convinced hundreds of thousands that the earth was being invaded by Mars. I bet they all felt foolish the next morning. Why not take a listen? Or, if you prefer, read the script. And remember: Mars is uninhabited.
