Hearing Ghost Dance -- Robbie Robertson. Appropriate, considering the day.

People Doing Dumb Things

I'm liking these stories for their high irony quotient:

* Girls Pummel Man Who Exposed Himself -- Or, one good reason not to mess with Catholic school girls. Money quote from a witness: "The girls came and started kicking him and punching him, so I wasn't going to stop them." Normally I'm not one for roving bands of adolescent girls pummeling people, but in this case I'm willing to make an exception.

* Man Drops Cell Phone in Train Toilet, Jams Arm -- You know, there is a time to just let material possessions go. This would be one of them. As you may or may not know, I just finished writing a book on stupid things people do; I'm saving this story for the sequel.

* Attaching 150 clothespins onto your face won't get you into the record books. Just thought you should know. This guy should have known that, too, since he already held the record. You really need to click through and see the picture, by the way. If nothing else, it'll give you some ideas for that last-minute Halloween costume you need to put together.

Gotta love those Goretti girls. My niece goes there now and my step-daughter is an alumnus. They haven't beaten anybody up in a while, but they're nothing to mess with.
