A Couple of AOL Journals Things
A couple of quick hits on AOL Journals.
* I was going to a quick tour around AOL Journals and post links, but when I stopped by Unhinged, I found out she's already linked to most of the stuff I was going to link to today. So I'll link to her instead.
And you may be thinking -- well, if she's doing all the linking, why doesn't she have your job, John. To which I say to you: Hush, now.
* I thought I had addressed this question before, but I can find the entry, so I'll do it again, for the first time. A new AOL Journaler has sent me an e-mail that says:
"Hey! It says that I have six comments, but when I look at my comments, I only see five. What gives?"
On your main page, the five most recent comments are displayed, so when a new comment is added, the oldest "most recent" comment drops off. Does it disappear forever? Nope, it's visible on the archived page, which you and anyone who cares to see all the comments can see simply by clicking the "Link to this entry" link.
Tip: If you're having an intense comment conversation on a particular AOL Journal, you might consider putting the archived entry in your Favorite Places so you can instanly access all the comments and conversations.

Thats the second entry youve given on this topic. Anyone who didnt read your journal on those particular two days will still be confused as to where the rest of the comments have disappeared to. It would be easier if the link to this entry function had a see more comments sign that duplicated

its command, and was displayed locally on the bottom of the comment-page, itself, directly below the 5 remaining comment entries. This would be more logical. It would be more intuitive and thus more user friendly, instead, of the present open-sesame procedure.
