By The Way...

So, being that my wife and child are away for a week and I'm unencumbered by care and responsibility, I sayed up until the wee hours of the morning -- reading Popular Science's Best of What's New 2003 feature, in which it lays out all the best new technological gadgets of the last 12 months. I know! And here you all thought I wouldn't still know how to rock. Well, clearly, I do.

Yeah, yeah. I know. Pathetic. But on the other hand I want just about everything in the article. Indeed, we came pretty close to buying a Toyota Prius when we went car shopping earlier this year, choosing against it primarily because Toyota, in its wisdom, didn't see fit to have a single one in Ohio at the time we were car shopping. Silly, silly Toyota. I'm sure others would prefer the Aquata or the Maybach, but my car needs are simple and also, I'm cheap.

Also on the wish list, because I'm a paranoid parent: The Whereify GPS locator for kids. Anyone who has misplaced their kid in the grocery store for five bowel-clenching minutes will know what I'm talking about, here. Also, and not like I need it, but if someone were to slip me one of these in the mail, I wouldn't complain. Yes, that's a hint.

  Sometimes the wants outway our needs. Let us all be thankful and fortunate that we have a gift called freedom. Some people take freedom for granted and some people take advantage of it. We have alot of people bound right in our own backyards meaning the United States but our own government is willing to bypass every single NEED of an American citizen (you make too much money, you don't qualify, you are not eliglible) and give other countries what they WANT. It is a shame:(
