Hearing That Old Lucky Sun -- Louis Armstrong
Portrait of the Author as a Young Man

All right, this kid here is making me feel woefully inadequate. I was 30 when my first book was published, but William Bennett here published his first book at age 10 -- a pair of scary stories called My Weird Life. His story is chronicled by his mother Pat, who is this week's "15 Hours of Fame" winner. Get the streaming video feature here, get more of the story here, and don't forget to come visit Pat's winning AOL Journal entry here (Those first two links are AOL-only; the Journal link is accessible to everyone).
Way to go, Pat! And, of course, way to go William. Time to work on your movie deal, my young friend.

I know this is truely a gift from God. To hear about a child with special talent
such as this. May God keep smiling down on you, and may you keep on
writing and, keep on dreaming. Much love and success. -
