Hearing Who Do You Want to Be Today -- Oingo Boingo
Music on AOL Journals
I'm getting two or three requests a day for information on how to put music onto one's Web page, so here's the link to the entry I wrote earlier on the matter, which includes the additional warning of why making people listen to the music you want them to listen to is not always a good thing.
As I previously mentioned, a better solution is to upload a music file you've made into your Hometown space via keyword: FTP (or into another Web space you own) and then link to that file. That way people have the option of listening, or not.
Also something to remember: If you're uploading a piece of music to your Web space on AOL or elsewhere, make sure the piece you're uploading is something you have permission to present: Music, like pictures or words, is copyrightable, and by uploading and presenting someone else's music, you may be violating their copyright. This won't be a problem if you're uploading a piece of original music done by you, of course.
