Did you know that aside from the AOL Journals themselves, AOL Journalers have other places on AOL to take part in the active and growing AOL Journaler community? (And yes, I know, that sounded exactly like it was written by a PR person. What can I say, it's early on a Saturday morning. The PR person inside apparently comes out to play right about now.)
My PR-ness aside, these can be good ways to plug in and get to know other AOL Journalers and their concerns. Your first stop: The AOL Journals -- News and Tips message board, which -- as advertised -- features news and tips by AOL Journalers, for AOL Journalers, as well as non-AOL Journal-related topics and comments put in there simply because someone is thinking about them at that moment. It's also where many people announce the creation of the Journals, so if yo're looking for a new Journal to read (or looking to get new readers), it's a good stop.
AOL Journaler His1desire also dashed off a note chatting about the Born to Blog community over at Groups@AOL, which she is a part. Its intro text reads:
Love to Blog? Well, come on in! Learn some helpful tips and tricks to make your AOL Journal the best! Share your own ideas with others in this free-for-all weblog-fest!
Sounds like it could be fun. This group is not an official AOL thing, but it was started by AOL Journalers themselves, and by sending the link to me they're signaling they'd be happy to have more AOL Journalers take part. Swing on by and see what you think.
