Hearing Can't Stand It -- Wilco
On the Subject of Fonts
Thanks to everyone who sent in e-mails about the font issues you've been having -- it helped the AOL Journal tech folks narrow down the problem and come up with what they think is a good solution.
It appears that font problem many of you are having (particularly with 12-point fonts) has something to do with Web caching. The good news here is that the fix is fairly simple:
1) Go to KW: Preferences
2) Click on Internet options.
3) Click on the AOL Browser tab.
4) On the bottom box in this window, click Clear Storage.
Hopefully, that'll clear up your problem. Try it and let me know if works for you.

Doesn't work for me. I'm running Windows 98 Second Edition and AOL 8.0. Would that make a difference? I ran another test entry today (11-22) and the 12-point Verdana and Arial appear on the Journal page as what looks like about a 9-point font. They both look just fine on the "Edit Entry" page, but when you hit "Save," a conversion takes place. In some quarters, that's supposed to be good, but in this case, it's bad.

Nope - didn't work here either. Next suggestion? ~thanks~

I tried clearing the storage and the entry in my journal right afterwards was okay and the font posted in size 12 like it was supposed to... but it hasn't worked since. I've tried clearing the storage again but it didn't help.
