Cell Phone Portability and Spam! Spam! Spam!
Today's the day you can dump that lousy cell phone service provider and replace it with a brand new lousy cell phone service provider -- and keep your phone number! It's like living in the future. Here are some tips for those of you planning to switch service providers. Probably the single best piece of advice one could provide at the moment is to say that unless you simply cannot live one more instant without changing your service provider, wait maybe a week or two before switching and let all the insanely eager beavers be the one who get to work out the kinks in the service switching process.
Also more good news -- Spam (the unwanted mail, not the delicious spiced pork shoulder and ham potted meat treat) is well on its way to being outlawed here in the US, although not everyone is convinced that the legislation about to be passed is all that. All I know is that the Chinese spammers thank you in advance for your business.
Speaking of Spam -- did you know that there's now turkey Spam? Just in time for Thanksgiving. Between the turkey Spam and the storebought cranberry sauce, your entire Thanksgiving meal can now retain the shape of the can it came in. And who doesn't want that?
