Hearing Nothing. Everyone else is asleep.

Thankful

Like everyone else in the blog and journal world, I'm trotting out my list of things, I'm thankful for. Why? Because it's a fine idea to remind yourself and other there are things you are thankful for. Here is some of what I'm thankful for this year (in no particular order):

* That someone else is making Thanksgiving dinner and all I'm expected to do is eat.

* That friends and family are well, and doing well, this Thanksgiving.

* The pecan pie I was sent this week by mail. It was magnificently yummy.

* The commentary by Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan on the Two Towers extended version DVD.

* That all my pets get along.

* That my work life rocks -- two books out this year and a gig writing a Journal: What's not to like?

* That my daughter is exactly the human she ought to be at her age, and gives every indication of becoming the woman I know she can be.

* That her mother is a great role model for her -- and for me.

* That I don't have to be on the road right now, trying to get somewhere.

* That I like my in-laws, and they like me (so they say).

* That I got to see Eddie Izzard in concert this year.

* That I've just lost a bit of weight, so when I gain ten pounds in the next month from stuffing my face, I'll still fit into my pants.

* That life is good.

That's enough for one holiday. Have a great Thanksgiving. Give thanks for everything you should be thankfor for, and everyone you should be thankful to. I'll see you all again tomorrow.

    To the World you may be only one person: but to one person you may be the World. Thanks for the ongoing help. I am still learning.
