Hearing Don't Look Back -- Boston
Journal/Blog Roundup 5/21
Blink. There goes another week.
* Jcgeorgiapeach is getting ready for life without school: "I'm trying to think of ways to keep two adolescent boys busy without sending them to camp." Well, you know. There's always chores.
* Daniel Drezner is looking at the Sudan and the terrible things that are going on there. Haven't heard? Find out.
* The folks at VodkaPundit are getting agitated at a school administrator having a tiff with the College Republicans.
* Have a flower. A big flower.
* Proof people will blog about anything -- and make it interesting: A review of cheap pens, each accompanied by a really groovy watercolor of said pen. That's obsessive and cool!
* Here's some excellent advice to offer teens as they head out for a night -- and excellent for everyone: Parent Yourself. It's certainly true that the difference between being smart and being stupid is one quick thought to consequences. I should note that it's easier to "parent myself" now that I actually have someone else I'm supposed to be parenting. Practice, practice, practice.
* Caprine has today's oddest quote. And it involves kittens. Now aren't you curious.
* The difference between what one wants to do, and what one ends up doing. This is something I understand all too well. Every morning I wake up with a huge list of things I want to do. Then the next thing I know it's 5pm. Someone clearly neads to slow down the rotation of the planet. I need more time.
* Andy Kaufman said he'd return 20 years after his death. Did he? Maybe.
* And now, something for the geeks: Slashdot is collecting worst explanations from tech support for your tech problems. There are some good 'uns.
