Hearing Building a Mystery (Live) -- Sarah McLachlan

HTML Thingie Update plus Something Else

HTML issue update: It's still out there and still maddeningly capricious (it lets some coding go through but not others and you never know which is going to get through and why); the AOL Journal techs are hard at work squashing it and hopefully we'll have some leeway on it soon. Of course I'll let you know what I know when I know it. You'll be happy to know I'm pestering them about it on a half-hourly basis.

In other AOL-related news, I'm sure you've now been made aware that AOL has a new upgrade available (Keyword: Upgrade -- I'd drop in the link directly, but see above). AOL will give you many reasons to upgrade, including new features and technology and improved customization features, and that's very nice, but the REAL reason you should upgrade is that when you do, you can visit the AOL Welcome Center which features text written by yours truly. Nothing fancy, mind you: It's meant to be functional text. But still. It's also an example of the other side of my writing life -- the "business writing" part.

There's one other update to tell you about today, but it's not up yet as far as I can tell, so I'll hold off blabbing about it until later. But I will say that I've seen it and if you're an AOL Journal user, I think you'll like it. Now aren't you curious?

    John,
Gregg (golden child of nc) has updated his computer.  Now he can't get into any journal, not even his own.  Bummer.

DR SCALZI, yes please please keep goosing them.  my question about all this is:  will the html weirdnesses revert to normal text once this is solved?  i keep a links journal, and oddly -probably because i added some new journals to that entry yesterday-  the links to people's journals are now ALL out of whack.
