Vacation, All I Ever Wanted
You ask: Why is John transparent in the picture above? Well, aside from amusing photo trickery (clearly someone has been playing around with the Long Exposure setting on his new digital camera), this is a photographic metaphor to tell you that while I'll be around over the next week, you won't see too much of me, because mostly I'm on vacation through 6/7 (actually it'll be several days of vacation plus a couple of days at the Book Expo in Chicago, where I am doing an author appearance and signing books and all that. I know! Me!). What will I do during vacation? Mostly sit around and catch up on reading. I'm not exciting.
What does this mean for you? Well, mostly it means that instead of five entries daily, for the next week or so you'll get two entries a day, and they'll probably be, you know, pretty short. I'll be staying on top of tech stuff, of course, and will update if there are issues that way. And yes, there will be a Weekend Assignment for next week as well (it's already in the can). So I'll still be around, just not as much as usual. Just wanted to keep y'all in the loop on these things. I'm sure you will find ways to keep yourself busy.
