Hearing If I Could Turn Back Time -- Cher

Have You Registered to Vote?

You know, here's my basic thought on voting: If you don't vote, you can't complain. For four straight years. Yeah, go on. Try not to complain for that long. You can't do it. No one can. Humans just aren't built that way.

Anyway, time is running out to register for this year's elections. Here's information from The League of Women Voters on how to get registered, what's up with the issues and candidates, and even information on where you should vote and what to bring come election day. It's information you can use, even if you're a man.

So, are you registered? If not, why not?

Thanks for the reminder John. And, just in the nick of time. I'm registered but I haven't changed my address since moving last December. I only have until 10/18 so it will be going out in the mail tomorrow! :-) ---Robbie

I agree with the "no vote-no right to complain" theory...although, by not voting, you are voting...to let someone else decide for you!  I no longer vote.  The reason is simple; I have no clue what the truth is!  Most campaigns these days spend more time slinging mud than standing on their truths, and I am so tired of spending so much time sorting through all the B.S.  If you all can figure out who is lying the best, let me know.  And, I promise I won't complain...at least to you!  JAE

I registared on my 18th birthday.  I had to re-do it when we moved and I've been researching local politics.  Things are a little different and I always feel like if I'm going to vote I should have some knowledge to base my opnions on.
