Animated GIFs

I've been getting a number of e-mails recently asking: "How do I put animated GIFs into my Journal?" The answer is pretty simple: Just like any other graphics file. The picture above, for example, was added by finding it on one of the many sites that offer free animated GIFs (this one, in fact), downloading the GIF to my computer, and then uploading the GIF through FTP. Overall, pretty easy.
I do recommend not going completely insane with the animated GIFs on your page; too many of these little pictures on the page at one time makes things hard to read because the human eye is drawn toward motion. But a well-chosen animated GIF from time to time makes things fun.

Thanks John for the link! Appreciate it! Here's an example. I didn't load the gif through my FTP (still unclear on how to do that). I use www.photobucket.com to store my gifs or jpgs.
