Hearing Seduction -- John Zorn
Too Much?

Off the AOL front screen: 10 Really Expensive Toys for Really Spoiled Kids, including the $15K mini-Mercedes you see here, a $30K playhouse, and for the budget-minded, a $250 "bubble room" (which is kind of cool, actually).
I certainly won't tell the super-rich what to do, and since I just dropped a fair sum for a new computer for Athena, I don't suppose I'm above a bit of parental spoilage. But I will say this: I think every kid should be set in a room with a set of plain wooden blocks and maybe some string and encourage to amuse themselves. If the kid can't make do with that and demands a PlayStation or an air-conditioned playhouse complete with running water in order to stimulate his or her imagination, that's the kid you don't want to spoil any more. It's just a thought.

Spoiled rotten, I'd say. Back in my day....(oh god, I've turned into my parents!) LOL

good grief! i suppose playing underneath huge oak trees, making little villages out of acorn hulls is entirely out of the question...

Agreed..the boxes sometimes make for better play than the toys.
