Hearing Mercury -- Gramophone
Toy Snore
This week's Weekend Assignment asked AOL Journalers to share their most underwhelming holiday toy experience, and of course, they were not shy. Here's the first batch of not-ready-for-the Island-of-Misfit-Toys toys. And remember that it's not too late for you to join in the fun -- here's the original assignment. Write it up and drop a link!
Mosie1944 was perplexed by a wall projector.
Promiseluv372 was deceived by a toy vanity.
Barbaramck got impatient with a rock tumbler.
Pixiedustnme was flummoxed by a Slinky.
Ancidkb47 got silly with a dummy.
Onemoretina was less than rocked by her Rocket Shoes.
Ondinemonet recounts the Easy-Bake Oven. Ah, yes. Easy-Bake.
Mavarin recounts the translation between her requests and what she got.
Lrttklly didn't care what the gift was, she was grateful. Which isn't a bad thing at all.
More tomorrow!

There were 8 of us in our family and not too far off in ages. We had wonderful old fashined Christmases. One year my older sister and I recieved (from Santa) a gun and holster set and two cowgirl hats and the wooden stick horses. Well, we loved Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, but we had to take turns on who got to be Dale and who had to play the role of Roy. So we both played Dale...Ah team work..LOL what a memory. We still laugh at that to this day. It was underwhelming that's for for, because I surely wasn't going to play Roy Rogers. If taht were the case I might as well have played Trigger HI HO.... That could cause some serious side effects, if you know what I mean? rotf.... All we need was a funky guitar Ah.. :)
