Hearing Wings on My Heels -- Eddi Reader

Oops, She Did it Again

Google has released its annual list of most popular searches, and once again, Britney "I've been married a few months and already it's orders of magnitude longer than my first marriage" Spears is the top search draw. Which does make one wonder what the hell is wrong with people. Leave her alone, folks! She's a respectable married woman!

Orlando Bloom is the most popular man searched for, which I suppose answers the question of whether 12-to-14 year old girls use Google. Don't get me wrong, I like Orlando Bloom just fine, but he's like a step up from a pony, in terms of infatuation. But as five of the top ten are of nominally "hot" women, it's clear that the number of 12-year-old girls using Google is dwarfed by the number of hormonally-agitated boys, of any number of ages.

One does also strongly suspect Google filters out all the naughty searches before it releases its annual list. One wonders what the unmediated list looks like.

So: Ever search for Britney Spears in the last year? Or Orlando Bloom? Go, on, don't be ashamed. Millions have done it. You're in the majority! Tell me.

Nope, I have never searched for info on either Britney (I wouldn't even have known how to spell he name) or Orlando Bloom, although I will admit I have used Google to search for info on LOTR and especially Viggo Mortensen (although I find the character Aragorn MUCH more attractive than the actor who played him)  :)

I think this should be declared a "Britney-free" zone...thank you very much!

Google is the best, it's the only search engine I ever use.

Sorry but AOL's search engine sucks. If I had to list the top ten engines AOL wouldn't make the list.

Never searched for either. Also who is Bloom?
