Remembrance

Today marks the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. It is an excellent day to remember never to forget. The US Holocaust Memorial Museum has an online exhibition marking the day, which I heartily encourage you to visit. Meanwhile, the threat of genocide exists to this day, now in Africa rather than in Europe. That's something to think about as well, as you consider the past.
