Hearing Hero of the Day -- Metallica
You Think Your Job is Bad...
No matter how bad your job is, UK's Channel 4 has almost certainly got you beat with its look at The Worst Jobs in History (British history, at least, although they probably applied the world over. There are some truly astoundingly bad gigs here from Roman times through the Victorian era, although for my money, none worse than "The Groom of the Stool." What is that? Well, first think of the many permutations of the word "stool." Then consider Henry VIII. Oh, my, yes. Yeah, your job is a breeze, pal.
(It should probably go without saying that some of the jobs are likely to get you all squicked out, so those with weak stomachs are warned.)
