Hearing All The Love in the World -- Nine inch Nails
This is a no-brainer photo shoot:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Take pictures of fireworks! Don't worry, I don't expect you upload most of these until later tonight or tomorrow, so don't let the fact it's a "Monday photo shoot" discourage you from posting on Tuesday (or Wednesday, or Thursday...)
(Note to people posting fireworks picture for this week's Weekend Assignment -- no fair reposting. I know, I know. But I'm sure you've got other pictures, too.)
Here's the coolest firework display of the 4th of July weekend:

This is the comet probe Deep Impact slamming into the comet Tempel 1, throwing up dust and other debris and making a crater potentially 150 feet deep. The folks at NASA are doing this purely for the science, but the cosmically impressive fireworks sure don't hurt.
Get out tonight and snap some photos of your more earth-bound fireworks, then post them in your Journal or Blog -- and then come back here and leave a link! We're looking forward to seeing the rocket's red glare from where you are.

I think your fireworks pic is an AWESOME choice! My wife just happened to see online they were going to shoot the comet and we turned to the NASA channel about 30 seconds before they hit it. It was funny to see all the NASA guys go berserk when they hit the comet. http://journals.aol.com/molte
