Hearing I'm a Man -- Joe Jackson
A reminder that I'm still collecting comments about the ad banners and other issues here -- people have been commenting through the night and into the morning, so now's a good time to catch up. There are more comments as well here and here. I do encourage people who want to comment about the topic to continue to do so in the first thread, because among other things the sheer size of the thread makes an impressive argument. However, I don't intend to snip out banner-related comments in other entries beyond this point; I'll just ask folks to keep the topic of the entry in mind when they comment.
Given how many comments there are, I have not been responding to each comment individually, but I am reading every one as they come in and trying to address some of the issues that I see coming up, and passing along what I'm seeing to others.
I'll be using this particular entry today for any banner-related issues, so there may be some updates to the entry depending on how the day goes.
Update, 6:30pm: Joe has comments on AOL Journaler reactions to the ads, plus more.

"You are our voice...please help?"
Believe me, I've let AOL know what I think of the banner ads, and both Joe and I have been making sure higher-ups see the level of complaints we have been getting. We're doing what we can, and hopefully it will help. -
You know John, I don't make money on my Photography, which I would love to, but I don't. I do not think AOL should be making money on my artwork/photography.
I pay them every month since 1996. If anything, they owe me better service & more features for MACs. Their browser stinks.... So you probably, already know this....but I'm venting...; )
You are the one that really got me to participate in J-land with your Monday Photo shoots....If it wasn't for you, I would have never started a Journal.
You are our voice...please help?
Thanks~

Things are DEFINITELY looking better, John. :-)
I'm about ready to THANK AOL for screwing up royally with this whole fiasco.
