Thanksgiving Thoughts, Part I

From this week's, Weekend Assignment, some of the people AOL Journalers and others will be hold in their thoughts, if not in their arms, this upcoming Thanksgiving holiday:

Mosie1944: "My son and the three grandchildren he's blessed me with."

Joolsinwa: "My grandparents."

Rachaelanne21: "My brother Nerraux, his wife, and my nephew."

Coelha: "I'm thankful for my family; but there has been someone missing at the table the last three years--my Dad."

Shadierush: "My Grandma, of course."

Pixiedustnme: "The face missing at my Thanksgiving table again this year will be my son Joshua."

Jottingsfromjersey: "My parents moved from New Jersey to Ormond Beach, Florida in May of 2004. So, this will be the second year we won't see each other for the holidays."

Krspkrmmom: "My sister, Phyllis."

Outmavarin: "I've told you all before about what my dad did for me on Thanksgiving Day, 2002, how he helped to get me through the worst day of my life - from three thousand miles away. He's the obvious answer to this question. "

Lurkynat: "Wow.. the list is a long one!"

More tomorrow -- and don't forget you can add your own thoughts to the list. Here's the original assignment. Write it up on your journal or blog and leave a link!

    I will be so thankful when. . . . .
Aol, starts to listen to us customers about the sorry state of performance.
Aol, will fix the problems it has, before trying to snow us with some new ones.
Aol will make it easy for the games we are paying for will load, not knock us off line.
Aol will stop "farming out" the aol live help feature.
Aol will stop doing so many things that are making us wish we never gave out our e-mail addresses as AOL.
I get the guts to tell AOL "this is the end, I have had it! I cannot use the things I am paying for,so so long"
Aol gives all a christmas present by telling us to leave a "what is wrong with AOL note so AOL can fix things"

Lord hear MY prayer, that AOL will receive a touch of responsability and fix the "wrongs"  Snoopy1545@aol.com

"Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed."

"Whenever I hear any one arguing for slavery I feel a strong impulse to see it tried on him personally."

"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."

"We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not all mean the same thing. With some the word liberty may mean for each man to do as he pleases with himself, and the product of his labor; while with others, the same word many mean for some men to do as they please with other men, and the product of other men's labor. Here are two, not only different, but incompatible things, called by the same name - liberty. And it follows that each of the things is, by the respective parties, called by two different and incompatible names - liberty and tyranny."

    -Abraham Lincoln

---John, I understand that this is mainly the responsibility of Joe our "technical adviser" But! We trusted you in being our unanimous voice and even went so far in dubbing you with the title BLOG FATHER. We trusted you to take that title seriously. If we could just PLEASE get some ANSWERS about what AOL plans on doing; be it A PUBLIC APOLOGY (joke) or ANYTHING else. Joe has been completely unresponsive to our complaints and the technical ramifications with this AOL "update" are through the roof! Joe isn't saying word one on what AOL is "planning" to do!

    Any comments on my comment?
