Hearing Bluck Shuck -- The Darkness
Who will be missing whom this Thanksgiving? We asked the question for this week's Weekend Assignment, and here's some more of what people answered:
Xxkissofafairyxx: "My mother has passed away this year. She was my rock and foundation."
Gotomaria: "I won't be having Turkey with my parents and will miss them."
Delela1: "It's been 28 years since I shared Thanksgiving with my mother and sisters, and 8 years since the last Thanksgiving with my dad."
Heavenlyearthnr: "This Thanksgiving I will miss my grandfather who passed away two years ago."
Lsfp1960: "We used to have such a good time at family holiday get togethers. Oh how I miss those days."
Teeisme57: "This Thanksgiving the one person who will be most missed at the table will be my mother-in-law."
Hopelessblondie: "I won't get to see my big 'sister,' Julia."
Firestormkids04: "The person I miss most of all is my mom."
Deslily: "I would miss my very handsome son, George, his beautiful wife Kat and my very handsome grandson Brent..."
Mlrhjeh: "Peggy loved Thanksgiving and Christmas and was the life of the party."
Aurielalata: "I am thankful for my dear grandmother--Eugenia Nettles--who is 90 years old and lives in Arkansas with my aunt and uncle."
Ellipsissuddenlycarly: "I don't live close to my dear journal friends, and I have never met them face to face, but somehow I think if I were walking in a crowd of strangers, I would be still be able to recognize them."
And remember to check out the first batch of answers as well, and check the original comment thread -- people responded there as well. Thanks for everyone who answered... and I hope those who are in your heart Thanksgiving feel the love you're sending them, wherever they are.

THANKSGIVING AT GRANDMAâS
Oh, for the memories,
That warm the heart,
Of traveling down the rivers,
To grandmaâs for the holidays.
It 'twas a colorful journey,
With all the autumn leaves.
The memories so vivid,
With holidays pending,
Making me remember,
The smell of turkey in the oven,
With grandmaâs intricate ways,
Using cranberries in the stuffing,
While mouths watered for dessert,
Of sweet pumpkin pie.
Grandma spent oceans of time,
Giving us a holiday meal,
Never to worry, or wait,
If she got any thanks or not.
Proving what was most important,
Wasnât the food we ate,
But the lesson she taught,
On unconditional love.
