Hearing The Things We Do For Love -- 10CC
Something to throw in the face of the next French snob, who declares French culture superior in every way:
STARSKY AND HUTCH are to be reborn as a pair of French cops called Madani and Duval in a Gallic version of the 1970s hit series.
The show is being produced by the trendy M6 channel, which hopes to tap into the French love of American television while respecting its legal obligation to make 40 per cent of its programmes in France.
Half of the initial 22 episodes will be based on scripts from the original series, which was a success in France when it was broadcast on TF1 between 1978 and 1984.
I mean, even we were smart enough to only remake it as a movie.
Mind you, I'm really not at all one of those "I hate everything French" people -- I rather like the French, particularly as it involves actor Jean Reno, and the only thing truly appalling about them as a culture are their attempts to do that whole "rock and roll" thing. But come on. This is just sick.

I've lived in both places... and for every bad French rock song, there are 500 equally bad US country and western songs.... and the French don't wear those silly hats.

Worse, they could have picked CHiPs to remake.
