Wow, just more places for us to negatively comment on the ads so that our comments are less likely to get heard. Wonderful technique. But ya know, I like you....mainly bc IF aol wasnt such a [bunch of words i cant say] then i would have wanted to have your job. And to the fact that you arent high on the totem poll. So i went to Susans journal and she was happy about the ads. So I posted 2 comments to that one. then I went to take a nap. Woke up and she had an update saying she didnt like them. Personally I feel she is unqualified for her job, can i have it???pretty please. Help someone in need. Ill move whereever I have to now that finals are over and take up a job just to make sure that the members gettheir well deserved. So...John, will you be my reference. How can I get her job? I know ill do a better job than she is. PLEASE?!!?!?!?!?! Can you give me an email address to talk to someone(llike a boss of hers) about it???I know you wont. I'm just hoping you might. Give us a fair chance. Put someone in the office that wants the banners down cuz we know Joe and Susan dont.

"As America Online turns more toward advertising dollars to offset the shrinking number of subscribers who pay a monthly fee, the company may be upsetting the longtime customers who have remained faithful over the years."
The lesson here? The best way to save a floundering business model is to alienate your remaining consumer base.
When your mass-marketing strategy for delivering 1025 free hours of AOL into the hands of every man, woman, child, orangutan and flying squirrel on the planet fails...DON'T think to update your marketing strategy. NEVER adapt. REFUSE to change -- all while the amorphous internet continually reshapes itself.
Cheers to you, AOL. If the Cretaceous era taught us anything, it's that adaptation is overrated."
