Hearing R-E-S-P-E-C-T -- Aretha Franklin
Ooops -- My daughter's school teacher was on the phone to me about a half hour ago to let me know we forgot to send Athena to school with anything for the class gift exchange, which precipitated me levitating out of my sloth and rushing over to the local store to see what they had (the teacher told me they were trading school supplies, which helped). Got some stuff, jammed it into a holiday bag and got it to the school before the gift exchange time. Go me! Of course, if I had been on the ball and hadn't forgotten in the first place, I wouldn't have had to do this last minute stampede of activity. Bad me! Man, I don't know where my head is at this holiday season.

I did the opposite--I sent my son's gift in too early. They're having their gift exchange tomorrow...I thought they said it was LAST Friday. *slapping self in head*
Merry Christmas!

It ain't nothin', you know John be handling...
The teacher is the one who dropped the ball. When those kinds of days came up at my school, I always kept a few things stashed under the desk for just that problem -
It will be interesting to see what Athena thinks of it! HA! Does she get to ground you? Sounds like a learning moment to me. If she has not already, good opportunities to remind kids that parents doing always get it right either.
