Hearing 1/2 -- Brian Eno

Where's the Snow, Where's the Snow, Where's the Snow?

Picture from Hometown

This makes me a dork, but I don't care: I think it's ironic that while it was fall, we were getting snow that piled halfway up my calf, but now that it's actually winter, it's 52 degrees outside and all the snow has plumb melted away. What's more, it doesn't look like it's going to drop below 40 degrees anytime in the next week. Madness! Madness, I say! I like my autumns autumnal and my winters wintry!

(I'm lying, actually -- I like my winters just like this. Well, maybe about ten degrees warmer. Remember: raised in Southern California.)

I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts. There may be no freezing temperatures expected in the next week, but you know they're never too far off this time of year. The snow will be back. I'm pretty certain of that.
