Hearing Everyday -- Buddy Holly
I've been dreading going to the gas station -- I paid $2.78 a gallon not half an hour ago -- but I guess the nice thing is, there are lots of places where people are paying more than I do, like the entire states of California and New York. How do I know? Because I checked the USA National Gas Temperature Map, which features a county-by-county average of gas prices across the continental US.
The best place in the US to be, in terms of gas prices? Utah. Why Utah? Haven't the slightest. The worst? No surprise: California.
How are gas prices where you are? Check the map, or just tell us how much it was the last time you filled up.

Yep here in Fresno it's $3.09 but we found a place for $3.03 but that was two days ago....

Ours went from $2.76 to $2.83/gallon outside Orlando overnight. The day it goes over $3 here for the first time, I'm taking a picture and putting it in my blog. That way my grandkids will be able to say something like "wow...gas was only $3/gallon?"

Yesterday in Tucson I paid about what you paid today. I have to drive to NM tomorrow, so I'll probably have to fill the tank several more times between now and Tueday. Ouch! - Karen
