Hearing Fouille-toi -- Hugo

Mundanity

Picture from Hometown

First: The crabapple tree in the front yard. It's pretty! One of the interesting things about spring is that, like fall, trees present themselves in colors other than green. What's different is that in spring, those colors are pastels.

I'm still basking in being home after a few days away. I like to travel, and I had a fine time at Penguicon (the convention I was at this weekend) -- many good people and panels and just overall a whole lot of fun. But I'm really most comfortable at home. This is not an entirely bad thing for a writer, mind you; it means you can shut yourself off in a room and work without going entirely insane. But I do notice the "happy to be home" thing gets stronger the older I get.

While I was away Krissy re-organized the house again, as she is wont to do when I travel. This time our living room got swapped around; over the winter Krissy had the couch blocking the door to the patio, which doesn't get much use during the winter, and now that the weather is nice, the way to back is clear. That's how I really know Spring is here: the couches and chairs migrate.

Now, here on AOL-J while I was away, planning has gotten underway for the next update to the AOL-J client, slated for late May. Yoel Crane has a list of some of the new features being planned, and some stuff that's a little further along as well. Worth checking to see what what cool stuff you'll be able to do with AOL-J soon.

There, I think I'm all caught up on the little things -- except for e-mail. If you sent me e-mail over the weekend, I'll be trying to catch up with it today. A blogger's work is never done.
