Hearing Nothing at the moment.
I seem to be fuel-obsessed recently, but with gas at $3 in a lot of places, I'm not the only one. And as my thoughts turn to hybrids and alternative fuels, here's an interesting story on the latter subject: How far can you drive on a bushel of corn? from Popular Mechanics magazine. It's an article that looks at the actual cost and performance of alternative fuel, most particularly ethanol, which is the biggest contender for the future fuel crown. It's a good article, and of course it's always good to have a context for what all the alt-fuel will do for you.
Along this same line, there's talk of using ethanol, not as a completely new fuel, but as part of a new type of engine that could offer hybrid-like fuel economy, at a far lower price. Autoblog has the details.

Also from Autoblog, this wicked concept car that not only features a hybrid engine (which, really, is not news anymore), but also features tires that can change their tread based on driving conditions and electrostatic panels that can suck electricity from the very air. Apparently, however, it won't do windows. Still, very cool.

You can't get laid IN that car... but you get laid.

Someone should figure out a way to harness all the farts we're
blown and fuel our cars with that. Imagine driving a Toyota Turbo Tush, Pontiac Sunturd or a Ford Air-Ease?
