Hearing Nothing at the moment
Last week's Weekend Assignment asked folks to suggest some travel reading for those of us who might, oh, be trapped on a tiny jet on an airplane tarmac for two and a half hours. And boy, did you guys ever come through. Here are some of the suggestions (click through to see why these are suggested -- and to see other suggestions, too!).
Deslily: Chekov's Enterprise by Walter Koeing
Pandorasbazaar: Zorro by Isabel Allende
Anothermyers: The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (you knew that)
Jmorancoyle: The Graveyards of Chicago by Matt Hucke and Ursula Bielski
NZforMe: Illium by Dan Simmons
Mavarin: A Princess of Roumania by Paul Park
Ellipsis: Every Breath You Take by Judith McNaught
Lurkynat: China's Water Crisis by Ma Chun
Fdtate: Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasen
Dailysnooze: Thud! by Terry Pratchett
Monponsett is pimpin' a book she wrote the introduction to.
Knightbek recommends a book you can't get... yet.
Fabulous recommendations all! Thanks to everyone who played along. Sorry it took until today for me to get the list up. Extenuating circumstances. Really!
