Hearing Unchained Melody -- Cyndi Lauper
Seems that a couple of years ago, Paramount thought about repackaging the original Star Trek episodes with updated special effects. Nothing came of it officially, but now two test reels of "The Doomsday Machine" with new effects (from two different effects houses) have surfaced on YouTube. Here's one, and here's the other. See how old school Trek looks with new school CGI. William Shatner's acting, one should note, continues unenhanced.

I was always disappointed that Sulu never did any karate.

Not bad. I got engrossed in watching some of the other Star Trek vids listed here. I especially enjoyed the Star Trek music videos of Linkin Park's "In the End" and "Crawling" (It's actually "Krwlng" from their remix album Reanimation.) and Switchfoot's "Dare You to Move."

Neither. I've been doing other stuff all day, and I'm about to get off the computer. I just thought, you know, y'all might find this interesting.
