Hearing Kingdom Come -- World Party
Wow. Warren Buffett's planning to give away most of his fortune -- close to $37 billion of it by estimates of his wealth today -- over the next several years. Don't worry, he'll still have a couple billion for himself. You know, just in case. No matter how you slice it, however, this is an amazing amount of money to focus on philanthropy. Buffett talks more about it in this interview as well.

So nice to see the rich folk doing some real good with their money. Hope more will follow suit.

I tipped the gas station attendent $5 (he checked my oil in the rain without me asking him to), which is proportionately the same amount of niceness.

Bill Gates recently declared that he also plans to give away his fortune. I believe he's actually in semi-retirement from Microsoft, working with he and Melinda's different charities. Linda in sunny & hot western Washington http://journals.aol.com/lsfp1

I think he and Bill and Melinda will do a lot of good for this world. They are really great role models to emulate.
