Hearing Superstition -- Steveie Wonder
Dig this, groovy cats: Stevie Wonder, in 1973, doing a totally awesome version of "Superstition"... on Sesame Street. Back in the day when Sesame Street taught reading, writing, 'rithmetic -- and funk. See, now, that's just cool. I especially dig the kid rockin' out in the background. I was watching that and thinking, that's kid is a year older than me. I wonder if he's cruising the Web right now, coming across this younger version of himself and thinking, see, I had great taste in music even then.
Also, Stevie Wonder's version of the Sesame Street song. Groovy.
Update: OMG, this is also totally teh Kewlnaas, especially for people my age: The Smiths on the the UK children's show Charlie's Bus, leading kids around Kew Gardens while "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" plays in the background. Now I can die happy.

The best part was that Stevie was most likely unaware that he was surrounded by Muppets as he sang.

VERY VERY COOL! :-))))
thanks so much for sharing that!!! -
Hey! I'm a year older than you, John. MY generation had great taste in great taste in music as you can see. Unfortunately, your generation just lost it. I swear, it's a miracle you children didn't all grow up to be deaf little devil worshipers after listening to your loud rock and roll phonographs.
See what a difference a year makes?
