Hearing Skullcrusher Mountain -- Jonathan Coulton
Part of the idea of the Monday Photo Shoot here is to try to look at familiar things in new ways. So:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Find an interesting pattern or texture somewhere in your home. Take a picture of it.
Here's mine:

This is the pattern on the couch in my office. To tell you the truth I never paid that much attention to it until Athena was sitting on it yesterday, and said, apparently randomly, "A fish fin, a sailboat and a tornado!" She explained that those were things she saw in the pattern of the couch cushion. Well, you know. Looking at it now, and can see how she saw those things. Personally I like the differing textures of the -- feathers? waves? whatever you want to call them. You can see how they're different in the picture, I suspect. Incidentally, I turned the picture black and white because it's an old couch -- in color there are patterns there relating to age that aren't supposed to be there at all. Comfortable couch, though.
Now you: Find an interesting pattern/texture in where you live; take a snap, post it online and come back here and leave a link. Look at your surroundings in a whole new way.
