Hearing Jesus of Suburbia -- Green Day
Journals Editor Joe is talking about two new AOL-J capabilities for you to try in beta: Moblogging (that's mobile blogging, although it can also mean "mob blogging" for reasons Joe explains) and embedding video into your journal entries.
Be aware that when you link to the last of those links, the embedded video starts playing automatically, and you'll hear a lot of rumbly motorcycles. This is actually my complaint about embedded video -- it starts whether you want it to start or not. I think playing a video should be user initiated, not automatic.
The moblogging beta seems particularly interesting to me -- it could be an interesting way to start some group journals around here (although there are some caveats to mention, and Joe mentions them).
Anyway, check out these new innovations in beta; play with them a little and let me and Joe know what you think.

Hi -- the next rev of the UnCut video embedded player should have autoplay defaulted off (as well as links back to the video's page) -- I agree that autoplay is kind of annoying (as visitors to any given MySpace profile will see) -- Joe

I believe Joe said that when the embedded video player feature goes live, the autoplay tag will be set to "off" by default.
