Hearing Writing on the Walls -- Underoath

No, I'm still here right now. But for the second half of August, I'm going to be on vacation, because as the Europeans will tell you, that's what August is for. But while I'm spending time doing vacation-y things -- you know, reading books, grilling steaks and fighting crime as a costumed superhero -- I want to make sure we keep the Weekend Assignments moving along smoothly. So:
Weekend Assignment #122: Offer your suggestions for Weekend Assignments during the month of August. You can suggest anything you like, of course. I find personally the best Weekend Assignments are unusual enough to make people think, but easy enough that anyone can participate. If there's something you'd like to be made into an assignment but I haven't brought it up, now's your chance to suggest it!
I'll definitely be selecting two ideas from the pool, for 8/18 and 8/25. But I'm open to picking more -- hey, less work for me, and based on previous experience, you guys have got some excellent Weekend Assignment ideas. And of course you'll receive full credit for the suggestion. So wrack those brains!
For this particular Weekend Assignment, you don't need to post an entry on your blog or journal; just drop your suggestion in the comment thread. That way other people can see if you've suggested something they were thinking of (and vice-versa). Also, it makes it easier for me to read and select. Of course, you can put them in your blog/Journal if you like; just leave them in the comment thread too.
Enjoy thinking up those suggestions!

Dear John,
1.describe vacation on an alien planet
2.John Scalzi is said to go into a trance while creating his maserpieces!
Describe Scalzi's conversation with you when he is in his Sci Fi alternative consciousness!
3.Describe what you visit to Paul Little would be for your Canadian holiday
4. Describe a holiday on Guido's island off the coast of Scotland , or with Jeanette or Jan in sunny England
hugs,natalie -
Can you go on vacation with a total of 15 items only? Any you want, the only thing that won't count is the bag you put it all in.

I have a few ideas. Seeing that I just came back from vacation myself, how about, talk about one vacation that really meant something to the blogger, whether it was good or bad? Also, considering I have just written about a truly embarrassing moment, and I have many, how about relating something that was embarrassing? How about a fact, figure or piece of logic that the blogger learned that amazed them? How about good summer foods? Or even considering school is coming up soon, how about essentials every student needs that isn't included in the usual 'school supply' list? Or how about a class you never took that you would like to see become part of someone's ciricullum? Okay, give me another week and I can problem come up with a lot more. But there's something to work with. Have a great vacation.
