Hearing Say Anything (Else) -- Cartel
It's going to hit about 98 here today, and I don't feel like moving around much, and I expect most of the rest of you don't either. So here's a quick and easy Photo Shoot for the Week:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Show us something interesting on the porch or patio of your house or apartment. For those of you with neither, fire escapes and window sills will suffice.
Here's mine:
I found this dragonfly hanging out on my front porch over the weekend, and this sucker was huge: The picture is roughly life size. I used to be weirded out by dragonflies when I was younger, and they still creep me out just a little, but these days I'm more fascinated by them than anything else, and the more I get to know them the more I get to like them. For example, one of their favorite foods is mosquitoes, and to my mind, anything that rids me of mosquitoes is a friend of mine.
This fellow didn't hang out long -- he was just resting for a few minutes and then he was gone. Just as well; I imagine the cats would have found him fascinating, too, but not in a way that would have ended well for him.
