Hearing Nothing at the moment

Last week Journals Editor Joe did a photo assignment of pictures with you and your camera. I know it's a little late officially to be taking part, but this is a pretty good example of the genre, I think. This is a picture I took just before I went off to the award ceremony at which I was awarded the Campbell. Yes, I can occasionally wear a suit. If you want to see what I looked like when I actually won, go here and look at the third picture down. Yeah, I'm happy. Also, yes, I'm wearing a tiara in that picture. It's complicated.
I was going to try to catch up with everything today, but a combination of late-night travel with little sleep and various domestic emergencies is keeping me from being able to do much in the way of focusing. I'll catch up with everything tomorrow -- I do hope you'll understand.
Until then, thank you to everyone who sent congratulations and well-wishes! They are so very appreciated. You all rock.

You look like you work for the CIA in the above picture. What is up with the tiara though? Is that a Science Fiction thingy? Athena is adorable...but you knew that already.. :) Julie

Lookin' sharp there, Mr. Scalzi! You look like you should be in the mob. Hmmm... No wonder we call you the "Blogfather."

Nice job, John! I knew you'd win. :-) And I must say I'm sorta shocked to see Athena with such a...er...domestic looking stuffed animal. LOL!

Since you didn't assign a Monday Photo Shoot, I made one up, based on your triumph. Becky thinks I should mention it to you, so here's the link:
