Hearing Hamlet, Op. 67 -- Tchaikovsky

Having a hard time wrapping your brain around just how much money the US Federal Government spends on, you know, everything? Time for you to trundle over to Death and Taxes 2007, which provides you with easy to follow circles and breakouts of just how much money is being asked for, and for what programs (basically, the bigger the circle, the more money involved). Military spending is on one side, civilian spending on the other. It's fascinating. It's also very large -- a 2MB .jpg picture file -- so be prepared for the download and for it to overwhelm your computer desktop when you open it up. Hey, we're talking about a lot of money here; it shouldn't be surprising that a representation of it is going to be pretty large, too.

They have a condensed version that's just a cartoon of President Bush tripping over a bucket of oil and falling into Iraq.
