Hearing Pink Moon -- Nick Drake
63-year old man, out of work, can't find a good job because (he says) of his age. So he implements another plan:
[Timothy] Bowers said he had been able to find only odd jobs after the drug wholesaler he made deliveries for closed in 2003. He walked to a bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash in an envelope. The teller gave him four $20 bills and pushed a silent alarm.
Bowers handed the money to a security guard standing in the lobby and told him it was his day to be a hero.
He pleaded guilty to robbery, and a court-ordered psychological exam found him competent.
This is sort of funny, but mostly it's very sad. I don't know this fellow's circumstances, but I know that I would hate to be in a place where a three-year stint in the joint seemed like a viable plan for one's life.
If nothing else, this is a reminder for you to plan for your retirement.

This is sad..the guy shouldnt have to go to jail...some court ordered theraphy...sure...but its rough on a man when he cant be a provider...its genetically built that he seeks to protect...protect has a financial baring with men...this guy meant no harm...he wanted to make a point...somehow I like this guy...I think he deserves to be understood differently

He deserves jail, just for having chocolate-chip-sized testicles.
Pop Quiz...
Your life is financial hell. Jail looks good to you, so you don't care if you get caught. Why not go for a serious score, and maybe try to get away?
For Christ's sake.... he can always do the half-hearted robbery later if he finds wealthy life as depressing as poverty... although, personally, I've been rich and I've been poor- it's better being rich.
Jesse James would empty his pistol into this clown if he heard him call himself a bank robber. I hope this man is repeatedly sodomized by an inmate with a size 18 foot and no sensitivity whatsoever. -
This is such a sad, But true story. We (our goverment) does nothing to help those in simular situations.
