Hearing Peg -- Steely Dan

Our fire bush in the front yard is at maximum redness at the moment, and the lawn is still lush and green, and my digital camera can take several hundred photos before it runs out of space, so here we are. I think it's a lovely contrast. In a week those red leaves will be gone, and so will October (or just about), so I'll enjoy both while I still have time.
Are the leaves still on the tree where you are? Or are they only now changing?

Your fire bush is gorgeous. The leaves here are in the golden and brown phase, falling from the trees when there is a good gust of wind. The leaves are also in my house, and every day I sweep them up. They come in clinging to the feet and legs of my dogs, like pollen collected on the bee's hind legs. Lovely time of year. Bea

I'll still have green stuff around on Christmas day... and I kind of wish we had the fall leaves sometimes, right up till everyone starts talking about the white stuff <g>
