Hearing Let's Dance -- David Bowie
I hinted at this as a Photo Shoot subject last week, so this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise:
Your Monday Photo Shoot: Show off your Christmas tree and/or Menorah and/or other seasonally appropriate holiday centerpiece. So if you celebrate the Solstice or commemorate Kwanzaa, or, heck, just plain like them all, you're covered. We're focusing on this year's decorations, so recent pictures are preferred. But if you haven't gotten all set up yet, you can reach back in your archives.
Here we see Athena sneaking in to the parlor to see what delightful treats await her under the tree... but what's this? Surrounding the tree is a phalanx of adorable holiday bears, blocking her way! That's right, this year, the stuffed bears form a cordon sanitaire between the Christmas tree and the potential predations of over-enthusiastic children. It's not an easy job -- frankly, we don't assume that all the adorable stuffed bears will survive until Christmas -- but I'll note these are all volunteers. They knew what they were getting into. And they serve with distinction. God bless them, each and every one.

Remember that even though this is called the Monday Photo Shoot, you have until Thursday noon to get those pictures in -- more than enough time to get organized.

Oh my, a fantastic photo. I love the bears. Perfect shot.
The wording was great reading. I love the journals. When I visit "Wait Not Yet" I always go back to the main journal page to review yours too. -
you'll have to make due with an old christmas picture as Mr. Bah Humbug refuses to put up the tree. But we're are so hoping our Navy boy will be joining us this year - he can't get here until after the holidays but I'll take what I can get!!
