Hearing Nothing at the moment.
Here are 25 Gadgets That Actually Save Money -- which is, when you use them, the money you save on electricty or what have you eventually is more than what you spent on the gadget. The site even tells you how long it will take for you to earn out your initial cost. Now, this won't necessarily do you much good if you give the gadget as a gift. But it's the thought that counts, and whichever frugal person you give these gifts too will no doubt appreciate that they'll be saving money right from the get-go.
Hint: I could use a residential windmill. Just in case you want to get me something from the list. No, I already have a battery recharger, thank you. Windmill. Write it down.

They're building windmills down here- a huge effort exists to build one off Cape Cod, in frontof the Kennedy Compound. That windmill will cost a fortune to buy, install, repair... and you may save $4 in a good month. I'm sure Athena will be happy to tell her kids all about how smart you were when your windmill finally pays itself off in 2086 AD.

Oh, you crazy southern people!
(Six hours from sunrise to sunset, but only three or so with real light. And I live very far south these days; back home it's three hours from sunrise to sunset.)
