Hearing Elegantly Wasted -- INXS
You've heard of the $100 burger -- now meet the $1000 brownie:
Brûlee’s "Brownie Extradordinaire with Saint Louis" is a chocolate brownie made with Italian hazelnuts, dusted with edible gold powder and served with a very rare port. After each bite, the dessert captain squirts a mist of the vintage port on your tongue with a $750 atomizer, which incidentally is yours to keep.
Let me draw your attention to an element of that description, which is apparently that some poor man actually has to stand around and squirt wine into the brownie eater's mouth after each and every bite. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the behavior of a society ripe for a purging. Don't let yourself be the one caught having the port spritzed into your mouth when the revolution comes, friend. You won't like what happens after that.
Here's the link to the place that has the brownie. Apparently they have other stupidly expensive desserts as well.
Would you pay $1000 for a brownie? What if it were really chocolaty?

NO!
be well,

I don't think so. Especially when I can get a boxed Brownie Mix at the store for less than $2.00 and modify it, to be probably much better than the $1000 model. Anyone who would buy one of those should be horse whipped and sentenced to work in a food bank for a minumum of 6 months.

John, what all the starvation in the world...people that would pay that amount for a brownie ought to be taken out back and horsewhipped! Go make a dang brownie and give the $999.00 left over to someone that can not afford a piece of bread to eat.
hugs,
carlene
